Lately, I've been having problems connecting to wifi on various coffee shops, it would just say connecting.... then it would say retrying connection...... then it would time out. I've tried a hard reset and tried connecting without any additional apps, but I still get the same error. What's worse is, I'd see somebody else at the shop using a laptop connecting to the wifi without a hitch.
These wifi connections btw are places that I used to connect to flawlessly, any suggestions? Could the problem be with my handheld? Has anybody experienced having a busted wifi component on their TH?

Can you connect to any Wi-Fi site(s) at all? Check your Network settings to make sure you are scanning with "Any" as SSID.
Some Wi-Fi hotspots work for laptops but not for handhelds, due to the construct of the initial login (gateway) screen. If that screen is formatted non-PDA browser-friendly, you WILL NOT get past it. But since you mention having previously connected there, you should inquire with the establishment management whether or not they've changed services or login/gateway settings. Good luck on finding someone working there who knows anything about that sort of thing (at least that's been my experience). Most hot spot employees (coffee shops, etc.) can't even spell Wi-Fi! Come to think of it . . . there are several acceptable ways to spell wi-fi. :D
You might like to check the "PowerSaveMode" settng as well. When you are looking a the list of profiles, select a profile name, then tap "Edit", then "Advanced Setup".
For some reason, I can't connect to some WiFi hotspots when this is enabled, but can when its not.
Good luck.

Thanks for the help guys, seems like the coffee shop had a different router installed, it was set to 11g only! Good thing they were kind enough to adjust the settings to 11b.
