I figured out why G1 doesn't work on devices like the Kyocera 7135 or the Fossil Abacus (which I just bought :( ). It's because of the systrap operations by each file. Whereas G1 (based off an NR70's) sets itself up for 18 systraps, the G2 file on my Fossil only sets itself up for 6 of those, and Jot itself (which I believe controls G2 access on the Fossil) sets itself up for only one...EvtGetEvent...which is looked at more than either of the other System Traps that the other two establish.
If someone has already gone thru the grueling process of getting G1 to work on a device like the Fossil Abacus, or knows what program I need to copy to my Fossil to re-take control of the systraps - specifically EvtGetEvent, please let me know. In the meantime, this probably explains why you can't just copy "GraffitiExtension" and "GraffitiExtension_enUS" to a 4.1.2 device.
As a side note, I also noticed that the G2 function has a lot of references to Jot, which is no surprise to me, seeing as G2 is Jot-based.
