As alternatives, you can use anything that lets you mount your SD card/Palm RAM, combined with TrueCrypt/PGPDisk/etc. for the secure file storage.

In fact, with the new OpenOfficeUSB, you can run OpenOffice right off your SD card while it's in the Palm, and save all your documents to the SD card, to be opened with DocumentsToGo, or whatever is your favourite Palm-side solution.

And actually, you could probably even install one of those USB OSes (Flonix, etc.) on an SD card, and boot a PC from it via the Palm. Can't get a much more secure login than that ;)
