When I press the HotSync button on a m130, the connection drops during the user identification phase (the T|X works flawlessly and the m130 worked before the update).
I would really like to hotsync it again, so... do you know a way to keep two Palm Desktop setups together? A pilot-link windows port, maybe?

You will not have two palm Desktop installed on a single PC. Have the TX desktop installed and find a way to get your m130 synced.

Are both units using the same username?

Nope, the m130 was hard-reset. The new T|X got a completely different username, and when I hotsynced the m130, I also gave it a new, different, username. (this first hotsync showed me the user selected dialog, but then failed with "task creation error (8006))".l

Try this (http://kb.palmone.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?New,Kb=PalmSupportKB,ts=Palm_External2001,case=obj(10759)) and tell me if it helps!

Ok, thanks a lot. It was a faulty fourth USB port on my USB hub. Again, Thanks a lot!!!!
