View Full Version : TX won't see SD card
I've been transferring stuff from my Zire to my new TX via an SD card. Everything went well until I moved something from the Zire's memory to the card using an old version of FileZ. After that the TX wouldn't see the card. I went back to the Zire and fiddled, re-writing everything on the card, and finally re-formatting. And still the TX won't see it. I've done soft resets but I'm trying hard not to do a hard one. (My backup stuff is now only on the Zire and I'm having problems with HotSync). Does anyone have any other ideas?

FileZ 6.83 is the compatible version with the TX. If all else fails you could copy your sd card to your computer, reformat the card with the TX, then copy everything back. Note also that I've experienced problems with several backup apps. Others have reported problems with Backupman, I have had CardBackup corrupt my TX during a restore. The only backup app I haven't heard anything bad about concerning the TX is Resco Backup.
Good luck - keep us posted.

Chances are that you have installed files that are not compatible with the TX hardware or OS. It is highly recommended that you follow Palm's Upgrade Procedure, found by typing upgrade in the Search Box on the TX Support Page.
Thanks all -- yes; it seems to be something I'm trying to add to the TX. I did have to to a hard reset for it to be able to see the card.
