Dont know if there is a thread on this already but:

My TX has a problem

It is brand new (got for christmas)
I have underclocked it (PXA Clocker), but not overclocked it
Aside from PXA, no hacks installed

The screen got alternating lines on-and-off (like when I OCed my Clie too high)
It would not respond to the reset button (unlike Clie)
The lines faded to ~half brightness (slowly)
A black line faded into the middle of the screen, the long way (faded in)
More black lines faded in
Now the screen is completely dark (but backlight is still on)
By the time I found my camera, it was completely dark (I'll show pictures if you want, but just look at a black picture full screen)
Tried holding the reset button, power button, its copletely frozen

I am waiting for it to run out of battery (full battery, wifi+bt off, normal CPU speed)
That might be a while

Any ideas?

Its either that or take out the battery. Wait 5 hours after the screen completely turns off. That means it will be black, and the backlight will be off. Plug it it, and if it wont turn on (doesnt turn on immediately), unplug it. When it is completely dead, you can plug it in. Immediately remove the clocking program, first thing. Then you can try whatever you want.

Brought it back to CompUSA and got a new one (couldn't wait)

Did PXAClocker do this?

Dont want to blame anyone, but it is extremely likely. I would say at least 98% chance. I personally use Warpspeed on my TX. I have had this happen once, though that time I tried to clock to 1170mhz, so I cant blame Warpspeed. In fact, I gradually clocked up to see how high my TX could go. When I went to high, my TX did a soft reset, nothing more. As long as you dont try to clock much higher than your devices max (mine is about 600), you wont likely do any bad damage. In fact, I have found Warpspeed to be very stabile when I stay within my devices range. That said, you run the risk of crashing your device when you run any program like this. Just a piece of advice, if you want to test your device's limits, don't set a system speed, try it out in a program, so if it crashes, it probably wont put you in a reset loop.

mine runs at 624 fine. 750+ is glitchy but useable
800 or more just does not work

Palm Facts (http://palmfacts.com/devices/tx/software.php) Lists PXA Clocker 4.8 Pro as completely compatible with the TX. I can't say personally, since I have no experience with it.
