Movie format query

Really simple question here, should the UX be able to play a 320px, 23FPS MP4 file with a 24kbps audio track from MS smoothly? I would have thought a video in this format was well within the UX's capabilities but I'm finding that lip-synch is really out.

My other option is 10FPS with 16kbps and 160px resolution.

Any thoughts anyone?

I don't think the format of the video has anything to do with the audio and video being out of sync. None of those specs seems to be over the top and as long as you have the proper codecs installed, everything seems fine. Are you sure the way you compressed the video was done properly. Is it in sync if you watch the video on your computer?

Thanks for the hint Hope. I went back and checked the video on my home PC and everything was out of synch there too! An encoding rather than decoding issue then!
