I have played around with my palm quite a bit, but when i compare it to everyone one these forums i have barely touched the surface. In regards to all the mods/hacks JAmerican and all you other guys is there any instant way you could just like upload your 'backupdata' from the hotsync sony folder on your pc so that i could download and just install to see what you guys have done to your palms. (Or anything that needs to be chucked in the ram with no hot sync instead)

LOL. Instant JAmerican. That's good. I'll create a ZIP if you want of all the mods except MediaLauncher due to there are multiple selections you can choose from. You can download the zip in your MS/Int. Media Archive folder and extract it on the MS using CLIE files. Then use Palm Insider Pro or a non-crippled file manager to transfer each set of files to your CLIE.
Haven't done it yet, but I'll look into it. Thanks for the suggestion.

If you guys want, I can purchase Nutshell Installer (http://www.ecamm.com/palm/nutshell/docs/usingPRO.html), but at a price of $30, I might need your help. If you guys want, you can donate to my Paypal account, and when I get a total of $30, I'll get Nutshell and redo all my mods to be in one PRC file. That's only if you want this. Let me know.
If you want to donate, you can go here www.jamerican.net/donate.htm

I'm a little confused... I would donate some money to the Nutchell fund but if Resco Explorer works, I guess just use that. I am still confused.

actually I have become a little confused. I didnt interpret he was making fun of me.
in other words:
yes, sounds good. If you would like money, considering that I am in australia there will be some difficulties.
and yes i did mean is there a way i can instantly have a JAmerican PDA?
This actually recently follows the hard reset I had to perform. I did back up all my data, but purely this annoyed me to completly restructure and reformat how my palm works. ie. programs hacks etc.

The best way to back up your device (IMO) is to use a back up feature like what McFile has, which copies everything on your device to your memory card. By doing that, even when your'e on the road and it resets, you can still restore everything (make sure you put McFile in the \Palm\Launcher folder, though).
In fact, I haven't installed HotSync on my last two XP installations, and I haven't used it for even longer. I use Data Export and McFile exclusively to install stuff.

Interesting i'll look into that. I will say though its still rather conventien for me to hotsync and then just back up by using the power saving mode.

Sorry about that. Thought you wanted me to create a PRC that contained all my apps and would be easy to install. I hope you didn't get the wrong impression from the donation thing. You just wanted to know how to backup. I use the Power Saving feature in Prefs. I also use BackupMan. Got it some time ago. Pretty good. There is also VFSBackup.
Once again my appologies. If anyone still wants me to make it easier to get a Jamerican PDA, I can do it with this expensive but great software, just low on funds with SATs, College apps, etc.

it seems even you JAmerican has become confused. Yeah i was just talking about an all in one file not how to back up (as i use power saving as well). But like even a zip of your backup hotsync and all the files you have manually installed to be a quiz install and then out. It would be cool if you could do it but if it is too much of a trouble it is not worth the 'street cred' get your education in first. Im starting college this year w00t (or as id say University).

I almost forgot...outside the U.S. college means the same thing as high school, or it's only used to refer to a department in a university.
I remember that now because when the university my dad is at starting calling itself "University", that was one of the reasons.

Someone sent me a donation sometime ago and seeing as I didn't reach $30, I've decided not to do the purchase the Nutshell product. I was wondering if you wanted a refund of your donation. If so, please send me a PM confirming your name and donation amount. DO NOT post it here. Thanks for your help though.
