would love to join but 550 is a pain in the butt(buck!) for something that is old tech and has no camera and keyboard. :(

Well, it is a highly entertainment orientated device. Old tech not so much, as OLED and battery life are ahead of todays devices and WiFi, dual memory slots, and screen rotation are very current. If it had Bluetooth it would be better than almost any device of today. Keyboard is definent must to me and a lot of PDA users but for entertainment its not really needed. But the price is is a little high. Hopefully me and Dragons can do some reviews. I'm going to take some comparison shots with various devices. This device never got the respect it deserved. It was freakin $1000 and only in Japanese so I can't blame it but still.

I am so excited. Hmm, too bad I won't get it until the 15th... ;) :(

Hope,

It was never advertised as compatible, but I can use the PEGA-KB100 on my VZ-90!

I have the KB100 and I'll be getting the VZ by early next week, depending on the shipping. It has been reported it has the same connector so all signs point to yes but, I'll test it out officially.

Hi,

Wow, I would like to take advantage of this but unfortunately can't.

I am tapped until the first part of February when I get my tax refund.

Oh well. I quess I can hope this offer comes again then.

I hope that everyone that is wanting and able to take advantage, does.

It may be a discontinued item but the tech is definitely not been eclipsed by anything Palm has done.

I have an IR keyboard for my UX50 and a KB100 for my NX's so I should be fine.

What was that one mini keyboard that can clip on? :)
Oh, it is the PEGA-KB20
Does anyone know if it will work with the VZ90? If so, where can I get one? :)

I don't think it would work  ? The layout, design of the VZ is completely different then what it was meant to work with. You could probably plug it in and use it but there's no way to connect it as its wider in portrait mode and in landscape in other modes so I don't think it'll work. Though, I'm pretty sure the KB100 should work perfectly.

How is that jog dial thing? It spins like the earlier iPods, right? Does it have Up, Down, Left, and right buttons also? :) I am just very excited.... ;)

sonypenguin

Yes, it turns and it has up, down, left, and right as well.

Were you able to send the VZ90s yesterday? I know I must be getting annoying, but I just made a $550 and would like to know everything is going to schedule. I currently don't have a PDA and need one as soon as possible... ;)

I have received, charged, applied english apps, hide japanese icons and shipped out to members who purchased them.
Let me know if anybody else wants VZ90s.

Ditto.
Make sure not to install Picsel Accelerator. It makes the hold button stop working... :(

I didn't take anything off the CD and I'm trying to figure out my WiFi settings. What did you use from the CD and have you completed your network settings to surf the web? If so, share.

dragonsgames
01-28-2006, 10:21 AM
I haven't even opened the CD ;)
I have a Clie that I can use to see what it says in English, so that is a helpful ;)

bdhu2001
01-28-2006, 10:25 AM
This is probably my 7th clie so I have the same. Have you surfed the web? I'm getting invalid network settings and I haven't been able to pin it down.

dragonsgames

Yes, I just scanned for my Network and connected. My Network doesn't have a password or anything... :D

bdhu2001

It's connecting, but when I try to use Netfront, it won't let me surf the web. Try to go to a site. Are you using an English version of Netfront or did you leave on the Japanese? If you're using an English version, is it VZnetfront?

dragonsgames
01-28-2006, 10:59 AM
I am using a English version, but I was able to surf with the Jappanese version...

bdhu2001
01-28-2006, 11:52 AM
OK. This is weird. I'm able to surf the web by connecting to my phone with a cable, but not on my Wi-fi card. I think it's a blast from the past. If I recall correctly, I had to call Linksys and update my router.

dragonsgames
01-28-2006, 12:07 PM
WiFi card?

bdhu2001

Yes. My wireless Lan shows connected, but it gives an invalid settings message when I try to access a site. I just got off the phone to Linsys and they gave me a firmware update, but it's still not working.

bdhu2001
01-28-2006, 02:09 PM
OK. It's my ip address setup or something related to that. Since it's all Japanese, it will take me a while to figure out my wireless settings. The VZ has some settings on the Wireless Lan page that don't show up in my UX50.
