I am new to the pda world. I got my first Palm for Christmas and I'm still tempted to reach for pen/paper for jotting lists/appts down. What do you find the easiest way to enter lists/notes/appts/etc? Keyboard? Graffiti? Touchpad? I know I'll get used to all of this, but it's just hard to make that transition. Thanks in advance!!

First off, welcome to 1src!
I've been using PDA's for a few years now and I still sometimes grab paper for things, so don't ever feel bad about that. I mostly use Graffiti for most things. If I'm going to be entering a lot of data, I use my external keyboard. I know some people are very comfortable using the on-screen keyboard for entering data, but I only use it for punctuation I forget. I find I’m fast with Graffiti than the on-screen keyboard, but I’ve had a lot of practice. You really want to try a few things, and see what works for you.
I know that some people use programs like DiddleBug (http://diddlebug.sourceforge.net/) for doing quick entry. I’ve started to use Slap to record data quickly, but sometimes fall back to Notepad.
Hope that helps! And good luck with your new PDA!

I always keep a piece of paper handy in case I have to jog down notes very quickly, for example whan I note down phone calls one after another. But if I meet someone new and has to note his name, address etc, I do it directly on the PDA using Agendus.
I have trying all sorts of text entry tools, I ended up using Graffiti 1 within MobileWrite http://www.inkmarksoftware.com/page2.html
I find graffiti to be more convenient to me because one you are familiar with the strokes, you don't need to have your eyes on the screen all the time.

In my opinion: The absolute easiest way to enter data onto my PDA is to enter it into my desktop PIM and then sync the information to the PDA. However, of course, that is not always available. If I am entering something that does not have long-term value, I will use Notepad. If I need to enter something very quickly, I will use Notepad, and then transcribe the information over at a latter time. In all other cases I use Graffiti to enter the information.
