Great find. I'm downloading and installing right now. I'm not sure what I need it for yet.. but I'll figure that out later! :D

Gymnast converts text files to Adobe Acrobat PDF format without the need for any additional Adobe software.

is it only a 1 way street or does it convert from pdf to text also? Seems to me, this would be a lot more handy, especially when trying to view PDF's on our PDA's

It is cool (which I'd seen it a couple of years ago)..but it only seems to do TXT files even though the interface suggests it could do DOCs as well.

I'm running W.2000 and when I try and convert DOCs I get an error..

I don't really get this app. I can't think of a single time I've wanted to convert a TXT file to a PDF. One of the main benefits of PDF is being able to share files with people who don't have the source applications... but EVERYONE can read a TXT file.

 Out of simple curiosity, I'm interested in what you'll do with this app.

Besides, I have Acrobat so I can make PDFs out of anything anyway. :)

Why convert to Adobe?

I've been playing with Mobipocket's MobiOfficeCompanion and I _really_ like the ease with which it insinuates itself into just about every program I'm using and with a click converts the file to Mobi-readable format (including a very graphic-heavy Word doc).

I've been a great whiner about Mobi to date (difficulty getting news to sync, etc), but this addition promises to really enhance the program. And after spending all this time reading docs in 480 width, I just hate going back to 320 (iSilo, Handspring).
