I was looking for the NZ-90 on Ebay just to see how much they were going for there. Some of the bids stated that you could can a NZ90 for 125. It wasn't through them but the bid was for information in how to get one. Is this to good to be true, or is this for real? Any feedback....

OK, you've got two options here. Either:
A) You're one of the people selling this "information" on E-Bay, which puts you in my scum-of-the-earth category.
or
B) You're not too bright if you think you can buy NZ90's on the up-and-up for $125.
(Sorry if I was a bit harsh, but that's the way I see it)

Those "information" sites are just pyramid schemes. Well.. not the true definition.. but you put in a bit of money in with everyone else, and every 10 people get the product. When you put your money in, you try to get more people to put money in so your turn will come to get the product. I remember someone had posted the website url that they are selling you on ebay, so you could read through it without paying $$. The site was being investigated by the FBI and all that good stuff.

It is a matrix scam. There is no guarantee if and when you will receive the NZ90. I suggest you stay away. If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably isn't true. If it was legit the NZ90 would have been sold a long time ago.

Yeah. I found one of the "secret URL's" once on one of those eBay listings. The way it works is this... and let's say it's for an $800 NZ90:
- You send in some money... in this case, $125.
- You wait for 9 other people to send in their money, and then you get your NZ90. You can even put listings on eBay to help your cause.
Seems easy, right? Seems like a good deal, right? Here's the problem... it only "works" if you're the FIRST person to put in money. Let's say you're the 15th person to send in money...
That means about 150 people need to put money in for you to cash in... but that also means that someone has to be dumb enough to send in money and want to be #150... and be willing to wait for #1500 to buy into this scheme.
$125, and "10 people" is a conservative estimate. If I remember correctly, for an iPAQ H5455 that I saw, it was like 20 people.

Yeah all those ebay things are all scams.
1) its a scam where you email the manufacturer (fronting as a small business) and ask them for a free "sample" of the product so you can do a "test and review" of it before you purchase mass quantities. Like hell sony would just give you a free NZ90 to test.
2) It's a pyramid scheme in which like every 7 people to buy the NZ90, the person who first paid $125 will get the NZ90 for $125. No guarantees how long this process would take, plus the people who put in money last never get anything.

OR ... it could be GENUINE ...
GENUINE as in a truck full of electrical equipment get's run off the road, the driver has a gun pushed into his face and told to think about his family whilst the cargo is off-loaded ...
... and some 'smart' crim puts the good up on the internet, bit by bit, claming that they are 'unwanted gifts' etc etc ...
You buy it ...
... 2 weeks later, at around 0400 hrs, your door gets kicked in and all you hear is "POLICE! EXECUTING SEARCH WARRANT!" ...
... you get involved in handling stolen goods ...
I know ... been there, done that ...
... the "POLICE! EXECUTING SEARCH WARRANT" bit, that is !!
Too good to be true =s TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!

heeheee...too good to be true...
Yeah there was a guy who was auctioning off TG50s like 10 at a time and starting at a dollar...I stopped bidding at $200 ( I didn't have much money at the time) but they only went up to like $220 (imagine getting a TG50 for $180 off?). Anyways I found out later that all the auctions were declared null by eBay and the guy was stripped of his membership...they only said it was due to 'fruadulent activity'...I wonder if he really had those PDAs...

tell me something #246 do I know you? Because you write as if you know me. Last time that I check I havn't been in Melbourne, Australia. I was just asking a question and wanted some feedback to see if the Ebay thing was a scam or not. So stop disrespecting me.... you should be shamed of yourself for writing false coments about somebody you dont know...... Australian (looser)

Well i think we all should give ferni69 the benefit of the doubt. He may be new to the clie and to cliesource, as i am. But you guys must admit $125 for a nz is very tempting and missleading.

After reading the posts I feel that you have been given a bad rap ( considering that your are not out to scam us)
So, in all I think we should offer you a olive branch and cut you some slack.
But I will also say, a NZ90 for $125 would be a great deal, but nothing is that good.
I have a NZ90 and I love it, its worth full retail... if you can afford it. OR you can buy one off the net for http://www.compuplus.com/insidepage.php3?refer=cnet.com&id=1000647 for $$654

Those links are fake... I brought one of those a long time ago. for $10 bucks... all they send me was a link, and it takes me to this website. You have to pay $150 dollars for some Annual Business report, and they will mail it to you. once you get it, they will keep and hold the money, and eventually when 5 people buys the Annual Report, they will use that money to get a Sony Clie, and send it to the 1st person on top of the list (who knows they might not).... So there, it's stupid, it will never get to me. I saw the list already, it was like 50 people, that will take another 1000 people to pay $150 dollars... So it doesn't make any sense, and you will never know when those company go out of business.
Please guys, a clie for $150 is just plan BS... we don't need to waste our time to discuss about this later. I got mine on ebay for $700 dollars including next day shipping. I brought it from a PowerSeller. so I placed a lot of trust in them. Remember, always buy from Powersellers!
