is there a way to get an image of the internal drive thru drive mode that shows the partition info or could someone take a snapshot of the images

Well i'm disapointed. Partition Magic 7 doesn't seems to see partitions on external disks; As for windows, it only shows the accessible partition; that's what I suspected, because the drive mode is managed by the LD OS so it shows you only what it want you to see.

Anyone knows about an adapter that could allow one to plug a CF card directly into a SATA or PATA port inside a computer?

Yes, they're all over eBay. I use on in my home-brew NAS box at home to hold the OS on a 64 MB card. Plugs right up to a standard IDE port.

is someone took the drive out and pluged it in to an external card reader then you will se the partition data...

actually i just had thouth plug the unit in without installing the software it shoud be seen as a full 4 gigs then try the snapshotting...or whatever...
