Get Festus's ML Background maker. It should be able to be found on this site by doing a search.

It is VERY VERY easy. All you have to do is have the image saved in BMP format in the size of your screen (i.e. 320x480 resolution) and then run the program. It only takes seconds compared to the couple of minutes it takes to use the developer tool at the Megasoft site.

I had a user report a bug that was causing 8-bit background images to come out wrong.

I believe the bug is fixed, and I just sent him version 1.01.

If it checks out, I'll be putting a new version on the web site.

I think his problem was unusual, but if you see this problem, let me know and I'll send update.
