Hi.

Well, there is no PalmOS 5.x upgrade for all Dragonball processor based PalmOS PDA, as your SJ-22 uses such processor no upgrade to PalmOS 5 is possible.

How do you deleted the programs of your PDA?

I used a after market downloaded program called neatfreak and cleaner and thought that web clipping was part of the ispin program I had installed.. so i got rid of it.. and a few other things.. I really didn't know what was suppoes to stay and what to get rid of so I cleaned it automatically of obsolete bmp's and then picked a few that looked kinda like they didn't need to be in there..

But anyway thank you for the info about no upgrade.. but is there anyway to re install the stock palm os on it.. I have done a hard boot thinking it would restore itself but still messed up .. thank ya ..

Hello,

Merry Christmas!!!

Well, I visited Neatfreak's website (www.northglide.com (http://www.northglide.com) ) and it seems only to delete things from devices's RAM.

First at all, make a backup, I prefer to do backups over memory sticks than over hotsync backup feature. You can use the stock MS Backup tool included with your PDA, it backups over memory stick, it can store up to five "slots" for five different backups. With five backups and a 128MB memorystick (the biggest one for you PDA) you have enough space for five backups.

If I'm correct Palms Desktop app. stores all hotsynced files in an archive folder, If you remember the name and extensions of the items you deleted, may be you can find them there and install them again over your PDA as an application using hotsync.

Another approach is to make a backup to a memorystick using MS Backup, then do a hard reset, this deletes all RAM content, and after the reset you Clié will restore the default items on your PDA, as the app you mentioned is a standard one sure it will be copied from ROM to RAM after a hard reset.

Then you have the chance to restore you backup, as far as I remember MS Backup do not deletes anything on RAM, it simply copies the backup to your device's RAM leaving all non backuped items on RAM, so the missing items are not deleted and you should able to recover you original state after a warm reset.

If this doesn't helps ask me again.
