I am interested in finding out how to get GSM/CSD (Circuit Switched Data) to work...when I try calling my ISP, I get the "calling xxxxxxx" pop-up with the status bar on my T68i appears and then goes away immediately before any connection is made. Then I get an "Error: no carrier" message on my Nx-60.

What mobile provider do you have right now (Cingular, Verizon, T-mobile, etc.)?

I'm having the same problem as you now. I have Cingular. From what it looks like, I have to add on Wireless Internet or Wireless Internet Express to have CSD enabled. I'm going to call and try to get them to do it for free, but I have a feeling they won't do it for free. In that case, I'll add on Wireless Internet for $3.99/month and that should allow me to use my dial-up minutes.

Are there any another ways of dialing up without subscribing to the service? (reg. internet dialup )

It depends on who your mobile provider is. I think I've read the T-mobile has CSD enabled by default (check other posts for this to verify). But I know Cingular has it disabled.

Well, I dial-in to Earthlink through Cingular and I had the same "no carrier" problem. I activated the $3.99 Wireless Internet package today and, without changing any settings on the t68i or the TG50, was able to have the Clie dial in to my Earthlink via Bluetooth to my t68i. So Cingular most definitely has CSD turned off by default. You can try to get them to turn it on for free, but good luck...$3.99 isn't bad unless you don't have a lot of free minutes. I'm probably mainly going to use my unlimited nights/weekend minutes for dialing in. Actually, Earthlin only gives me 20 hours for free as part of their DSL package, so that's the limitation I need to be careful with. Oh yeah, if you do start using CSD, disable pictures or your pages wil load VERY SLOWLY...I'd forgotten how freakin' slow 9.6 kbps was until I tried to load up msn.com LOL...
