Has anyone used their T615C regularly for at least a year?
I'm curious as to how long the battery life span is.
thanks again for your answers.

I had mine for 11 months and used it all the time. The battery started to poop out in November and I exchanged it for the 665 in early January. That was my experience with my 615. Not all of them have battery problems, I was just one of the lucky ones! Thank goodness I purchased the Best Buy PSP.

That just gave me an idea as my battery in not handling quite as well anymore. Had this one since Feb 2002.

The responses I got here at ClieSource right after I exchanged mine were mixed. Someone said their Best Buy was not as willing to make the exchange as mine was. I didn't have any trouble and was in and out of the store in less than 15 minutes. I never buy extended warranties but I sure was glad I had the foresight to get this one.

My T-615 battery is shot too, it will bearly hold a charge for a day.
Does anyone know of a source for a replacement battery? I'd rather not send my Clie off to Sony for repair and I don't think replacing it will be difficult
Thanks

I've had mine since Feb 02 and use it everyday. However I keep mine either in my cradle or in my Belkin keyboard for most of the hours I'm at work, so it is practically charging for 6-7 hours per day. The only time it doesn't usually get charged is over the weekend. I would say that between Friday afternoon and Monday morning, with moderate use (~ 1 or 2 hrs a day) I lose around 30% of the battery.

Hmmm.
Based on recommendations right here on ol' Cliesource.com, I did the following:
* turned my display contrast _way_ down, using Energy Dimmer (see http://www.palmgear.com/software/showsoftware.cfm?sid=80864120030102101114&prodID=28880)
* turned off IR (beam receive)
I had a family emergency out west. I left on 01/15/03, and returned on 01/20/03. Used the T615 about 15 minutes each day. I was only down to about 18-25% charge after five days of use with no charge...almost as good as my old Palm Vx.
I don't think it's the battery...it's the use thereof.
BTW, I bought mine refurbished so it's definitely not new. Got it in October.

My warranty expires in two days. I don't expect the battery problems to start until then. ;)
To this point, it's been fine. And like grj49a, when I'm working either at home or in the office (which is a LARGE portion of my day), it is charging on a cradle.
