I would really appreciate some help on this. I have a new TG50 and a 128 memory stick (cool gifts from my mom). I have downloaded some applications, programs, and utilities from the internet directly to my computer, then hotsyched them to my TG50. These stuff include a dictionary, a map, few ebooks, an MP3, a movie clip, games, etc. The problem is, these stuff go automatically into the RAM (where they eat up all the space), instead of into the memory stick.
My question is: how can I install these downloaded stuff directly into the MEMORY STICK instead of the RAM? Afterwards, how can I run these stuff from the memory stick?
Thank you for your help in advance!

Hi there! First of all you need to install the drivers for MS import on your computer. they are on the CD that came with the clie. Then on the clie you place the unit on the hotsync craddle and run the program called MS import on the clie-this will connect the stick to the computer and you will be able to see the stick as an external hard drive on your computer. Any program that you want to run you need to place on the folder called launcher (which is inside the folder PALM) on the stick. I would suggest you get something called Launcher X-

this helps you run and see things on the palm better. Hope this helps I will post some more info later on how to run MP3's.

Well, a more simple approach to install programs DIRECTLY on a MS is to activate the "Install Tool" in your PC, click the "Change Destination" button, and move the programs to MS.
For the programs you already installed in the handheld memory, you can use Clie File to move you programs into the \PALM\LAUNCHER folder in your MS. This can be done without installing additional programs, but you have to be clear about the program files yourself.
Of course you can use the MS Import, but again you have to be clear about the proper location where the programs lie, i.e. \PALM\LAUNCHER in the MS.
Using third-party launchers may simplify the issue a lot (it really does), though you have to pay for it.

I think ideally, you need a specialized app, like PowerRun (which is free).
What PowerRun does is move your app to your MS and create a link to it in internal RAM.
That's for apps... data files can usually be moved directly to your MS as most apps these days have the ability to search your MS for files.

My mistake! Power run is shareware... support the author!
