View Full Version : AudioPlayer CF hard reset problem

Okay, I just recently got a 2 GB CompactFlash card that I've been playing music from, thanks to the hacked multi-volume-aware Clie Audioplayer that I got a long time ago on 1src. It works just fine, just like all of my other (smaller) CF cards did, when I play music in the background, but I have problems when I go into the player itself to change settings - depending on whether I'm using the built-in driver or the Athena America CF driver, I can only go into the Audio Player between 1 and 4 times before I get a Fatal Error, and then my device resets. Often it's a hard reset, so I've started doing a MS Backup before going into Audio Player, which needless to say is a big pain.

Has anyone else had success in playing MP3s from a 2 GB CF card without any fatal errors, or is this something I should expect to have to learn to live with? Are there any applications that might interfere with the Audio Player that I should disable or something? If someone can help me troubleshoot this, I'd really appreciate it.

Have you tried using Mini's Hacked Drivers? Or reinstalling the current ones?

I haven't tried Mini's hacked drivers... I guess I should. At this point, it seems that background play is the sticking point - if it's turned off, Audioplayer works perfectly, but as soon as I turn it on and exit the program, I get a fatal error. I wonder what's causing that...

It doesn't seem to make any difference - I still get hard resets, but only when I'm using Shuffle. When I've got Continue, Reverse or Program Play on, it works just fine. I'm thinking maybe the Shuffle function with over 500 songs is a little too much for the Clie to handle - does anyone know how to fix this?
