Just noticed this file 'StatusBarResources' on my LD. Its ok but the size is 1.3Mb :eek: and I havent noticed it before. I am using myskin - is this related??

Hi,

Yes, this file is used by myskin and contains resource information for the status bar.

However, mine is by far not as big as yours (I am talking about the file here ;-), it's only 286 KB (NVFS size 313 KB) according to RescoExplorer. Wondering where the size difference comes from...

I'm using the OSX skin, and mine is 990 kb, not too far from yours SoS.

I use one named "Gant2_XKB"

it is the new recolor option. Just reset and reloaded the same skin without recoloring abd the file is now 212kb instead of 1.3Mb!! I am using the OriginalPlus XKB (http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&PartnerREF=&siteid=1&prodID=55186).

Alex, did you check this out??

The recoloring now should have much better memory usage. Try (at your own risk, after making a backup) http://www.prussfamily.us/mySkin175.prc

I would appreciate if after loading and colorizing you tried:
portrait 16-bit
portrait 8-bit (use the mySkin menu to change display depth)
landscape 16-bit
landscape 8-bit
