image convertor 1.5 problems

hey guys, ive been an nx-70v user for sometime now, and have had little problems with image convertor 1.5. however, my sister has an ipod, and she installed itunes (and with it quicktime). i saw a thread earlier about how the new quicktime doesn't work, and it doesn't work for me either. i checked on the sony website and this is all it said...
Sony has become aware of a compatibility issue where the Image Converter v.1.5 program no longer functions properly after QuickTime Player 7 software is installed on the computer.

Note: QuickTime Player will automatically update to version 7.0 as part of the Apple iTunes® program update to version 5.0 or higher.

At this time, Image Converter v.1.5 will only work in conjunction with QuickTime Player versions 6.0-6.5.

Sony is investigating this issue and will post a solution to the Sony web site as soon as possible.

has anyone found a way to successfully use image convertor with quicktime 7 installed? or even a way to install an older quicktime and keep the newer itunes?

I encountered the same problem - couldn't work out why I could watch some videos and not others. Once I found this post and the link, after applying the update, back to business again

Incidentally, I think I saw it in another post somewhere, but ...

By using the updated IC1.5, you can use the temporary files for loading onto the video ipods via itunes. I probably will keep using the clie for movies, but it's nice to have the option.
