Agendus 10.04 Released

I wanted to let everyone know Agendus 10.04 has been released. There are a few fixes, but not a lot.

Several great improvements are planned for version 11 due out the first part of next year some time.

Got it - thanks! I don't see reference to a fix regarding Preferences/Colors & Icons - blank name category and missing categories. Do you know whether or not any code corrections were made in this area?

One of our Forum team members just noticed a major bug with scrolling contacts. A fix will be up late tonight. You can wait to download or maybe wait till morning U.S. time.

Michael's back busy fixing the bug I caught late. I believe it's been fixed. It was noted in the BT and I've been playing with it most of the day with no loss of categories or issues in that arena.

I sent you a PM at Iambic about holding off until I could get over here and post.

I have been having issues with changing the category of a new or existing contact on my TX using versions 10.02 and 10.03. Upon request, I sent in my Contacts database for analysis. No feedback has ever been given.

Has this issue been addressed in 10.04?

So far, it isn't a major problem but I would like the bug to be acknowledged. Any ideas... that don't include various sync tricks, deleting of database, running scans on it, reinstalling etc as those have already all been done.

I haven't seen this, and can't reproduce either. I'm sorry you didn't get a response upon sending your DB. I could certainly take a look at it. If you want, you can email it to michael@iambic.com and I'll take a look.

The 3-4 days preceding Christmas will be busy for me (on a personal level), so I'll try my best to respond before then. If not, I will after Christmas.

Just in case this one slipped through the cracks - James was probably working on it. He has gone to work for Palm and is no longer at Iambic. Michael is staff and as he's already stated - he will look into it. That said,

It has not shown up again. And it was not global, that's to say it was reported but not by everyone. There was an issue with 10.03 - the anniversary category as part of the special days that personally I think may have been the culprit. That category/special day issue was fixed and IMHO (and I'm not a programmer nor staff) I think it was fixed via that fix....if you know what I mean.

There has been another reported issue on the Standard version only - can't access the options menu (screwdriver) - causes a reset. Michael has promised a "patch" to the standard version late tonight (2 in a row). It does not impact the Pro version. (They are different code).

So bh77a - I believe the answer to your specific question is yes.

Thank you for the information. In regards to James leaving for Palm, I for one think that it is a great career move!

As for others, I am not bashing Iambic, just merely stating that I still need support. I am not "jumping" as it, even with a small glitch here or there, is far superior to any other PIM solution currently on the market...

If you are using Icon manager (freeware) - check to see if all of them are 16 bit. One user (10.03) reported that he had one icon that was "off" in Icon Manager and that fixed his issue. I don't know that to be the fact but.....it's worth a shot.

If you set Icon Manager to 16bit - off icon's will show as only a dot. You can tap on it and tell it to convert. Reset the device after saving the icons and see if the issue exists.

Sorry you are having that issue. I think it's going to boil down to a corrupted tasks or meeting - rather than Contacts but Michael should be able to determine once he's got your db's.

In viewing ongoing issues with 10.04, it appears most remaining bugs are with, in order of severity/quantity: Treo 650/600, TX, other older Palms.

I have no real issues with my Sony Clie TH55 and don't see bugs being reported much by them and Sony PDAs of other flavors. So if you're on the fence about purchasing, upgrading Agendus Pro to 10.x, this might help you decide, depending on what device you have! ;)
