So what would the best calc emu to match the funtionality of something like the TI-83?
I know there is Power$* for HP calculators, but is there something similar for TI as well?

I'm too lazy/busy to research this question, but how does this piece of $$$ software provide any benefits over the open-source (donationware) version of Power48 that came out two years ago?

Regarding the TI I guess mobilevoodoo never finished the TI version. He said "coming March 2005". Maybe he got bored with it.
See the thread below for more discussion on those calculators:

I had never seen Power48 before, which is very nicely done for sure. The biggest problem with Power48 is it is very hard to see. MathUPro is a lot easier on the eyes.
That is what I thought too. Besides, there are too many buttons that I would never use in my engineering work, even those graphical plots. All I need is to enter inputs and get numerical output. MathUPro fits my need nicely, even in landscape.
I can program it and overlay a skin with button that fit my needs. In the example, below, is the unit conversion skin.

This is what Power48 with HP-48GX looks like on a Palm TX. I'm using MySkin with Greyhide skin.

Well I tried a couple of times to attach a photo. Can't get it into the post directly.

I've had Power48 installed on my T5 since I got it, and on my NR70V for a couple years prior to that. I much prefer using RPN to algebraic - Power48 provided all I needed but, if truth be told, far more than I really needed. I've tried MathU3 and like it - it's got all the functions I need for a day-to-day calculator without loading me down with excess functions. When I need more (i.e. programming) Mathpad fits the bill nicely.
With Power48, I still kept the original Palm calculator on a button for quick access - MathU3 is now on that button. Power48 is now off my T5.
Strangely, I've paid a few dollars to get less functions, but much more useable.
