Z22 vs Zire 31

Hi,

I'm looking to give a Palm as a Christmas present to a new PDA user. Here in the UK, the Z22 and the old Zire 31 can be bought for around the same cost.

So my question is: does anyone have an opinion on which one I should go for? I am leaning toward the Zire 31 because it seems better specified (e.g. can be used as an mp3 player) but does anyone see any advantages in the brand new Z22 that I have missed?

An advantage of the z22 is that it has the NVFS memory, so if the battery power dies, you won't lose what is in memory. Also, it has terrific battery life and is very small and light.

If you are interested in the SD ability and MP3 player part, then teh Z31 is a better buy. The Z22 has MUCH better battery life and a somewhat better software portfolio, but other than that they are basically the same.
