Help all, I'm really having a tough time finding the right replacement for the Palm's datebook. I have a new SJ33.

Can anyone recommend something that will fit my needs?

I use Act for my database on my PC with over 2200 contacts including notes, sales history ect. I'm using SuperNames as my address book on my Clie. It works great at viewing the notes I've made in Act and looking up phone numbers ect. I'm using the free Act conduit to sync up my contacts.

In the ideal datebook application it would:
Allow me to ad notes to a contact as seperate notes each time.
Allow me to schedule meetings/todo's/phone calls with one of my contacts, most don't seem to be able to do this.
Be Hires so it looks good

I have tried Datebk5 and I don't think it will do what I want. I have also tried Act for Palm OS, and it's low res and kinda ugly.

Can anyone recommend the ideal product?

You could try Agendus. I think it's more aimed towards contact management. Datebk does a lot. Did you read the manual?

What you have described - Agendus and Datebk5 will do the job.

You need to dig around with Datebk5 to get to these features - admittedly, Datebk5 has a steep learning curve (the manual is quite large).
Agendus will do the same - and you will need to fiddle a lot on this software to get it the way you want it.

Both these programs are the leading software products and they are packed with features. It is their flexibility and depth that also makes it quite long and tedious to configure, but you are well rewarded with a solid piece of software.

I would try Agendus 6.02 as well.

i would recommend you try agendus. db5 and agendus both have their strong points but agendus has better contact management and supports hires on os4 machines.

Thanks guys, I just tried Agendus 6 (I had tried it before I'm quite sure) and I get errors and I have to do a reset on my clie. I'm not 100% sure how to do this with both these programs but I need to do some playing I guess.

Datebk also has hires support for os4 now. I never knew what the deal was with hi res icons until the last beta:D

unfortunately, datebk does not support hires for agenda view in os4 machines. this imo is the most important thing to support as currently, in db5 i need to scroll down 3 pages to see my schedule for the day. in agendus, it all fits on the screen.
