I would assume supply and demand. There are a lot of people that feel that the T3 is better than the T5: vibrating alarm, voice recorder, slider design.

Addl Info: If you check properly on the site, you will see that the T3 is refurbished... Slider design will not influence the price tag - t3 was known for loosing its screws...buzzing sound and etc...

I assume you are disagreeing with, "the T3 is better than the T5", and I agree with all your disadvantages of the T3. My personal opinion is that it is a near wash as to which is better; there are advantages and disadvantages to both devices. Each purchaser will value different points to different degrees, and thus may come up with different decision as to which device is better. My impression has been that, "There are a lot of people that feel that the T3 is better than the T5". However, I have no hard evidence of that, only comments I have seen on the different discussions boards.

Is it a majority of buyers that feel the T3 is better than the T5? No, I do not think so.

Is it a larger portion that thinks the T3 is better than the portion of available T3s? Maybe, thus my theory as to why the T3 could be more expensive than the T5.

However, this may be moot, for when I go to the factory outlet, as linked above, I see no T3s.

Could be that they have more refurbed T5s than T3s sitting around.

I just checked the site, and I don't see any T3 listed...could they have updated the page already??

I saw T2's but not T3's. My guess would be that if they were trying to sell refurb T3's for more money it is because they likely cost more to make initially and cost more to repair/refurb. Not to mention they are now more of a niche device. Also, they probably have tons of T5's laying around they just want to be rid of before they start selling TX's in the oullet.

I saw it at the factory outlet when it was displayed...Like I said..the site has been updated and it was a mistake:)
