View Full Version : Does Versamail sync locally
Does Versamail sync locally or do I NEED an Internet connection???
I'm trying to sync all the emails in my Outlook inbox (locally stored) to my T3. Versamail seems to only be going out to the internet to get mail. I want to download mail to Outlook, sync w/my Palm, and read my mail on the go. Is this even possible with Versamail on a T3???
Please help.

As far as I've been able to tell this is not possible with VM. A work around would be to set Outlook to check your e-mail at the server, but have it leave a copy of the messages there. Then set up VM to check the same account, but tell it to delete the messages. You would have to make sure you'd checked the account with Outlook before you synced VM so you'd have a copy of your mail in both places, but removed from the server.
You could also set it up so that VM left messages on the server and Outlook deleted them. Then you'd want to sync VM before downloading messages with Outlook.
This all presumes that your PC is connected to the internet when syncing.

I have no problem with having my Outlook Inbox on the T3 and being able to send/receive email when hotsyncing.
Anyways, you need to start Outlook and do a send/receive BEFORE you start the sync process so that you have the most current files on the handset!
