I thought I would 'trade' my NR70V back to Best Buy before the three year warranty ran up and get the latest, greatest, gadget available, but in the 11 months I've had my NR I've grown quite attached to it- it's only my second Palm and I still get giddy whenever I think about new programs, apps, etc...
So now I'm thinking about just keeping it and getting my next one the 'old fashoned way- earning it! (or the college way- charging it!)- I just can't stand the thought of losing my baby!
I took a trip down memory lane the other night an pulled out my Palm IIIxe... god, we've come a long way. I had drooled over the Palm concept since '96 and bought the IIIxe on clearance for $100 in August 2001...
So what about you- could you sell yours or am I not the only one who has a 'relationship' with my PDA?

It would be gone.....its a machine man :-)
Sometimes you have to give up one relationship to have another.

I usually keep my stuff like that if I've had it for a while. I do kinda grow attached to some things like PDA's. I still have my first.

I was exactly the same way you are...when I played with a sharp zaurus though, I had no way of getting one, except to rid myself of the NR, I wrestled with myself for a month, before I finally gave up the NR, and still regretted it for a month, but I'm over it and loving my sharp zaurus...but I know how it is man, trustme, I know

I used to hang on to things like that... but not anymore. If I'm not using it, I don't need it taking up space in a closet somewhere. When I'm ready to get another PDA, I'll sell or give away my current one.

I collect PDA's so i never get rid of old ones:)
I might feel a bit attached to my NX70V but if i have to sell it to get a better model then bubye trusty NX
I don't sell but it is because I don't have to to get a new one and the price I think I could get for it is not worth it so I keep the old ones as backups or to play IR games with my wife :).
Plus I would be a bad salesman cause to me it is worth absolutely nothing anymore since there are new and better ones on the market. I'd ask $50 for my NR70V and still feel as though I conned somebody :)
I can in no way part with my old one. I still use it for games and stuff, but I know that even if I didn't, I would still want to keep it until the very day it is completely dead...

I still have my HP200LX. There is one I cannot get rid of. Just an amazing machine for its time.

I felt the same as you Miatamatt when I was deciding to upgrade about a month ago. I was VERY happy with my NR70V and couldn't imagine parting with it. But something kept drawing me to the NZ90 reviews and eventually I just had to have one! That meant selling the NR to help pay for the NZ. It was difficult, but I sold it to a co-worker so I can still visit :-). In fact, all three of my previous PDAs were sold to co-workers, so we are essentially still "together" in the same office.

Have no trouble parting with the old one. In the past 4 years, I guess, I sold my TRG Pro to buy a Visor Platinum which I then sold to buy a Visor Prism which I then sold to buy the T665. After getting the original TRG Pro for a Christmas gift I sold the Taurus Wizard I first bought. Always felt like I was improving my PDA lot. Think I'll stay with the T665 'till it dies.

Sell your PDA...are you crazy! I have ALL of mine still. Every Palm, a few Handsprings, a few Clie's and even a Newton. I put them all on a shelf that I call the PDA Wall of Shame.

I had the SJ30 for 6 months. Not that long, but I did get attached to it, as it was my first PDA. When the SJ33 came out, I decided that I should sell my SJ30 as soon as possible to get as much out of it as I could... so I could get a SJ33. My plan played out exactly like that and I now have a beautiful blue SJ33, Belkin G700 keyboard, Sony CA22 slip case, Sony GC10 game controller and Sony SPC100k speaker cradle. I'm happy. That is until Sony comes out with a T or SJ series CLIE with Palm OS5 and virtual graffiti (no built in keyboard / thumbboard).

I'll take my "defective" machine in just before the warranty is up.
Honestly though, my only other PDA was teh Palm V and I gave that to my mom. Unforutnately, she does not use it and how could I possibly get enough for it to be worthwhile to sell??

I am waiting for the next version.
If I'm not impressed, then the one after that! ;)

Sell my old PDAs? Never (will never in principle...). As much as I'd like to collect my old PDAs for one reason or another, I need to sell my old ones to help finance my new ones...I'm only a starving college student...I figure if I sell my PDAs as soon as they become obsolete to help finance my new ones than I can stay on the bleeding edge of technology without going broke...works like a charm, though I do occasionaly miss my old ones. I was visited by the ghost of my Neo once :P.

I still have S300 model but If I buy new one (and I'll do it for sure) I never sell my old buddy. I'll give it to my wife of other close relative. To stay in touch with it.

Miatamatt -
I absolutely LOVE my NZ! I'm really glad I upgraded. For me, the most valuable improvements are the better camera and the faster speed. Since I was in the market for a digital camera anyway, that's how I could justify the upgrade. Good luck!
