Sonystyle Drops NX70 to $499

Sony Style has Droped the price of the NX70v to $499 but for some reasone left the NX60 at $499 as well. Looks like they are really trying to unload the NX70v

maybe not really unload the models. THe original prices are always a little boosted, so that they can lower the price as the market gets a little bored. I would hazard a guess that these new prices keep some good margins and are still profitable for Sony.

I'm sure there proffitable I just think they are trying to unload them before new models are announced. Expcially if rumors of the NX73 are true the limmited jump in tech the NX73 and NX85 represent would make me jump at an NX70 but if they are almost all gone by the time the new ones are anounced offically.....

Yes, I suspect a new model or two will be forthcoming soon. When Sony drops the price, it's a good indicator that a new model is coming. It also helps clear out inventory and make room for the new line of Clies.

I wonder if Circuit City will take back my NX60 I just bought and exchange it for the NX70V. I didn't buy the NX70 first because I didn't want to spend another hundred dollars for a crappy camera. I'll take the crappy camera at the same price I paid for my NX60!

defyin, go exchange; by the way. the nx70 is no 5megapixel camera, but i would not call it crappy at all. did already a lot of pics and movies with it. if you want quick shots, reminders stuff like that and nothing to blow up to a poster the camera will do quite a good job.
