I have a NZ90 and have had a problem trying to get it to be recognized on my pc after not having done a Hotsync in quite some time. I tried to uninstall all components, figuring I would do a complete re-install of everything using the original installation disc. When I made the attempt(s), I would receive an error message stating- Error 1327. Invalid Drive : G:\, I would click OK and then another error message would appear which reads-Error 2707.INSTALLDIR, again I would click OK and then would receive this message- Fatal error during install.

I also tried to just delete the folders in the program files folder, but that would not be allowed either as some of the files were locked.

I then tried to just do an install using the disc, I would receive the message;
[COLOR=Red]Error 1607: unable to install Install Shield Scripting Runtime.

Is there any way to remove all of the previous install and re-install so that it will work? Or at least get it to recognize the device? I am running Windows XP home, 2.4GHZ, Pentium 4 :(

You can try this one:

Download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (http://windowsxp.mvps.org/MSICLEAN.htm) from Bill Gates.
Run it. Uninstall Palm Desktop. Restart Windows and install PD again in the same directory as it was before.

Good luck. :cool:

Click here (http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=Q108340)... This workaround may help you. I dont want you to end up re-installing Windows again!!!

pgenie, I tried the info on the link you provided, but I was unable to detect any folder titled "Installer" I even tried to find using the Search function, but to no avail! Any Ideas? I really prefer to do it without having to reload all my prgrams. Thanks
