Coke Status Bar

I Installed a coke status bar and everytime i try to delete the bar in ram it tells me that it is read only and that i cannot delete it............what do i do . Also i am trying to use some of the backgrounds for yishow and even though i put them in the right folder (palm\programs\yishow\wallpaper) it still does not work ... what do i do ???

I don't know about Yishow but you need to do a warm reset in order to delete the coke status bar. Hold up while you push in the reset pin at the back. This will load a sort of safe mode and allow you delete the status bar with clie files or similar program, Then do a normal reset, puch the pin the back holding no buttons. You will see your original status bar restored.

caeful here guys... this can also lead to a hard reset if you press up again...... if you delete the file and then reset you wont have a silscreen and then you will be screwed....

.. get it wrong and it will be very, very wrong.....

Not quite. You have to hold the power button in order to get the press up for a hard reset. And there is always the default status bar there, deleting an installed status bar merely restores the original. There is no danger here I have done it about 30 times changing silkskins.
I would use wondersilk but I find its reponse time on hitting buttons too slow.

i tried holding the up(page up key) while pressing the reset button and i still could not delete the file. I then tried holding the up scroll key that is by the four hard shortcut button and the process still did not work. finally i tried holding the up key that brings up the graffitti and still the described process did not work... what do i do .... i am desperate

Make sure you are pressing the Up arrow key that is by the other hard buttons. And while reseting, keep holding this button while the device is restarting. You will notice that it will restart very quickly. Then you can let go of the Up button.
