I'm looking for as simple a skin as possible, as I am interested in the functionality of ZL, but not the eye candy.
Presently, I'm using CRS-Launcher:

It's mostly B&W, the tabs take up the minimum horizontal width, there's no shading, the tools are clean. When I look at most skins on my T615C (which doesn't have the greatest screen), the tool icons have so much delicate shading that I have to squint to figure them out.
I've looked through various skin repositories, but everyone is going for more eye candy, not less. Anyone have a good suggestion?

I like the history miniview on the bottom.
Sorry no help otherwise.

Update: selecting Options / Display Setup and turning off "Graphic tab" helps considerably. Now to find a clean theme...

Here ya go. See what ya think. http://www.cliesource.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=402
Well, it's not "barebones", but I think the gadget icons are easy to discern from one another on the Zoopie theme, unless that's the delicate shading you're refering to. I'm using a T665.

LaStigmata,
Do you plan on making that nice, simple skin available to all of us?
Very nicely executed.

Very nice Stig, I'll use that one for now.
I'm still on the lookout for a theme where the icons are more like the old-school Mac OS7 icons, where each pixel is chosen specifically, rather than the photo-realistic style of WinXP or Mac OSX. Or even like Launch'Em did:

I too prefer a VERY simple clean interface.
To this end, I even dislike most icons, particularly large (zoomed) ones. They take up too much real estate, and, at least for my brain, take a lot more processing to decide which one I need to pick. In other words, I LIKE TEXT !!! I have chosen a primarily black background image for maximum readability.
So here is my minimalist ZL solution using a simple background and the rest accomplished with ZL settings and tab manipulations.
Note use of tabs as follows:
**********
First tab: HAS NO ENTRIES or text description, but does have an icon. This helps present the cleanest possible "idle" screen. This icon in the upper right is used to call up the pull down menu (made up of the rest of the tabs). The HAS NO ENTRIES point is the key (trick?) to getting this really clean screen. This approach does require one extra tap to get to your most frequently used stuff, if you don't like that, just eliminate this "trick tab" and have a more cluttered "idle" screen.
**********
Next tab (RDF): This is my most frequently used stuff. Make this the first tab if you want to eliminate the "extra" tap.
Other tabs (as desired)
I choose to use no icons, just text, on the other "invisible" tabs (that make up the menu).
If anyone is interested in the settings I have used, ask and I will post them.
I have a reasonbly sized JPG with some screen shots ... if you are interested just ask. (I haven't had any luck attaching it to this message).
