Oh my! Coming from the T3, which is an excellent PDA, it's a bit hard to say. BUT, I really wanted built-in wifi, a better battery, and the slider was getting a bit old for me. The T|X is also an excellent PDA, very stable so far, pretty fast, with almost foolproof wifi setup. I would highly reccomend it! If you want more specific feedback, let me know.

I spend the whole Saturday charging the unit -- No life.. the T/x will not turn on -
Satuday 12pm - T/X will not turn on - soft reset -in cradle reset - no life- Heart beat starts rising up...By then the Z22 was up and I could see the little funny crazy daisy game.
I was wondering if i was unlucky...Suddenly something stroke my mind thinking it could be the charger - I remover the TX heavy original tower and pluged the TX with the light Treo 650 charger...
4.22pm: The long awaited smile could be seen on me little face. The TX is back to life - First impression screen res. wonderful.
Aaaaahhhh! Now I know ..it was the charger.
I have not hotsync'd yet as Sunday was a busy day - I have not had time to play with although I have taken some pictures that I will post in a while...
From the 1st look ... I can say that this will be an all time gr8t :D:)
Well, I got my TX on Friday; charged it for 3 hours, then turned it on: the battery level was only at half. So, I left it plugged in until it filled up; been working great ever since (with the odd memory related reboot)!
I got bluetooth syncing up and running in seconds; wireless networking took a bit longer, as I had to figure out that I had to enter my passphrase in the ASCII entry option instead of the passphrase entry one.
Only problem I've had so far is that the screen is WAY too bright, and I haven't been able to figure out how to dim it yet. That, and crony doesn't work on the device, so I'll have to get a cron replacement from somewhere :\

Tap on the statusbar clock? :-)
There is also a utility on http://palmpowerups.com to get you even dimmer display than the statusbar clock allows.

Im happy with the default resolution. I saw the sample Treo Video AD and it looks great either. It will not be safe for me now to rate the TX against the LifeDrive...but surely there is competition at different level.

Thanks, Alex; that utility is what I was looking for; I find the entire slider shifted about 50% to the right of where I generally need it.
As an update, I installed a bunch of hacks at the same time yesterday (bad idea) and sent the TX into an infinite reboot loop. Had to start up in safe mode and do a hard reset to fix; even tapping the home silk button set it back into infinite reboot from safe mode.

Perhaps you might want to look at this (http://palmfacts.com/devices/tx/software.php) list to save yourself some time and aggravation.
Already have; however, maybe I should add to that list ;) --it would also help if these compat lists floating around would put version numbers on, so I'd know if I have to upgrade, or if my older versions of some software will work just fine.

Anyone is free to host and maintain compatibility lists in whatever format and level of detail that they so choose. I'm grateful that anyone is doing so.
