View Full Version : Hot Sync hanging up

When I hot sync, it hangs up forever when trying to check the expenses for updates. I don't even use that part of the TX software.
Then when I try to cancel it takes forever to cancel. When it finally does cancel and I hot sync again, it is fine.
Is anyone else having hot sync hanging issues?
Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Crickett

from your PC palm desktop, you can disable the Expense from sync. If nothing else, do this as a test to see if your hot sync still hangs
palm desktop - hot sync - custom - expense - change - do nothing

I just don't understand why its an issue. Besides, when I disconnect and re-sync, it does fine. Its just the first time. Drives me nuts!!!

Are you syncing wired or through wifi? If wired, is the sync cable plugged directly into one of the computer's USB ports or are you using a hub? Try a different USB port.

I"ve always used this port. Its a brand new laptop, so its not that.
I'm using the cable, but what it does is
"checking for new downloads"
and it does it for half and hour before I decide to stop running the program. Its a pain...and it didn't always do that, so something has made it act qwirky!!

Try changing the Addit conduit to Do Nothing.

The point is.......I shouldn't have to change anything!! This is a brand new TX...shouldn't have to disconnect a thing!!
The problem is....palm support sucks and I won't get any resolution! FRUSTRATING!!!

At note, that may give some insight into the problem: I have sometimes seen problems during Hotsync where what is being displayed in the dialog box (or on the Palm) as what it is doing is not accurate. The message says it's doing X where actually it is doing Y, where Y is normally done after X. The problem is the conduit that is suppose to put up the message saying that it is doing Y has not done so yet. With this in mind, when you have a successful Hotsync, what conduit is listed immediately after the expense in the Hotsync log?

disabled addit and expenses from the hotsync and things seem to be working well...

Munchyman...should we have to disable for it to work correctly??
Anyone know of a TX fix or where I can get an update??
Thanks,
