Well, tomorrow (or Friday, but more likely tomorrow) I hope to see some major updates/offerings from some of my favorite software developers, to kick off (and take advantage of $$$$ holiday spending frenzy) the holiday season. Here's my wish list:

1. Laridian - could we see MyBible 5.0, packed with new features ???
2. NormSoft - Pocket Tunes - What's in your wallet? :D
3. Natara - Bonsai 4.0 - woo hoo!
4. Landware - Pocket Quicken 3.0 - Packed with mind blowing new features (It'll never happen :( )
5. Beiks - BDicty 6.0 - with cool, new badly needed GUI makeover!!!
6. Five new ZLauncher Themes (apiece) from BandiT and the_iceman!!!
7. Something from pruss that we don't even know we need . . . until he creates it! :D
8. Hhmm, I'm thinking . . .

I was just thinking how I was hoping for some free Holiday software :) Between Holidays (usually Christmas and 4th) there are often free give aways. Most of which are not worth much but I have picked up Splash photo, Splash ID (which I do not use), palmary screen saver, app lock and various e-books for free.

I am wishing for a software filled Christmas :)

How could you improve upon perfection? ;)

An ROM update for LifeDrive would be nice and maybe a couple of new features for Zlauncher as well.

How about an Agendus Pro 10.03 announcement?

I have also been waiting for Quick News 1.2 to mature out of beta testing. That would be nice.

And yes, a ZLauncher update is always nice.

But, I must agree with zotgos, a ROM upgrade from Verizon for my 650 would be the best Thanksgiving present I could think of.

I am wishing for a software filled Christmas :) Nothing is better than a hardware filled Christmas! lol

How could you improve upon perfection? ;)Oh, the Word of God is absolutely perfect, you are correct, but how it is displayed and how you can get around in it to tie together cross references, etc. can be greatly improved, although we already have it so good compared to a hardcopy Bible.

I would like to see Laridian (MyBible) introduce the ability to pull in multiple hyperlinks (cross references) into a single, scrollable window (like GMPSoft already does in Bible With You)! ;)

welsjs, Instead of Pocket Quicken, have you tried Ultrasoft Money? It syncs directly with Microsoft Money 2006.

welsjs, Instead of Pocket Quicken, have you tried Ultrasoft Money? It syncs directly with Microsoft Money 2006.UM is a fantastic product, no doubt about it. I just can't bring myself to switch from Quicken to MS Money. Not only do most reviews give the former a slight edge over the later, but I actually tried to switch (bought MS Money) but the learning curve + inferior reconciliation process led me to take it back for a refund. I really wish Intuit would allow Ultrasoft into their world. A little competition might inspire Landware, who seems more interested in their "wine guide" software than their finance product (as evidenced by "podbaydoor" post above). :(

I agree with you about Landware's wine reviewing database. No matter how many wines that they put in their database, they can't list all of them. Landware's Movie Guide however is awesome.

Are you a glutton for punishment? 10.01 and 10.02 updates stink. Are you hoping the third time's a charm? Bah, Humbug to Agendus

I recently went back to DateBk5 (where I began long ago) and will stay. A new DateBk5 release will arrive before the New Year--and history shows it will be far less buggy than Agendus and their beta ware.

I have another question for you wellsjs,

I purchased Bible With You and am very impressed with it. How does MyBible compare?
I guess I could just intall it and take a look, but this is more fun. :)

no, no, no...agendus doesnt ever really get stable until the x.05 or x.06 revision....sadly, it usually stops there and any remaining bugs only get 'fixed' in the x+1 version (yup, thats another $9.95)...I'm pretty much happy with 9.06 pro, the v10 stuff is mostly bloat and/or treo-specific. It works great for me as it is but I think I wont be 'upgrading' any more - if anything, Im sort of thinking about simplifying rather than complicating my pda use...

What would you like to see for Christmas? (to steer this thread back on track) :)

Last night I went to my brother Johnny's house for a family get together and my niece Ashlyn (she's about 9) started a conversation with me in preperation of asking me if she can play games on my palm. She just loves to play Insaniquarium.

Is a 9 year old girl too young to appreciate a palm pilot for Christmas? Insaniquarium preinstalled, of course. http://www.1src.com/forums/images/smilie/images/smilies/smile.gif

Is a 9 year old girl too young to appreciate a palm pilotDepends! On one hand, it could be she is intrigued by playing games with a small, handheld type device. In that case you would better serve her interests with one made for that, like a gameboy, etc.
On the other hand you might be dealing with a child-genious who is interested in "what's under the hood" of the PDA, and she could be a prime candidate for one. Who knows, she could, by 12, design the TH55 replacement we're all waiting for that Sony can't seem to come up with!

I'd show her around on yours (the non-game aspects of it) and see how interested she is in the non-game stuff. If it turns out she's only interested in games, get her a handheld gaming device for Christmas. ;)

Sorry, no such plan. But I have an idea for mySkin 2.0 which would be really, really cool. :-) I am not sure I will have time to implement it, though.

Yeah, I'll bite...

We just spent a year on pocket quicken to update it to 2.5. Don't you think the Wine Enthusiast owners also deserve an update to their software as well?
I don't want them feeling that we are more interested in our finance product than our Wine guide.
