My 665 wont go !

Hi Folks!
Please can anyone help?
I have a T665 which i purchased in August 2002 and all has been well until now.
It started after i backed up to MS using JBBackup(done this loads of times with no probs)it done the backup but froze on the finish screen so i tried a soft reset....nothing happened and the green led is still on and now the screen is blank with no backlight. I tried a hard reset but nothing happened so tried a few more times but still nothing and the green led is still on !
When i got to my cradle i put it on and the led turned to orange but the unit still does not turn on. I tried both a soft and hard reset while on the cradle but still nothing.
PLEASE can anyone help?

Yep ! Tried that as well

Then it seems that you have a ROM Failure or the cables to the display are damaged.

I will leave it until it is dead and try what you said.

Hi,
I had the exact same problem -- the screen was black, the hold was off, the power button didn't work, couldn't get a back light on, nor could I do any form of reset. I waited until the battery died (I think it took 3 or 4 days,but that might vary depending on how much juice the battery had it in to start with) and all was well after a charging...just wait for the light to go off before recharging. Brian

P.S. I tried contacting sony about this when I had the problem. It took so long for them to get back to me that my problem was fixed before they could respond.

I'm glad that helped...when I had that problem I couldn't find anyone else who had the same problem...so, I'm hoping it's a rare problem.
