Before I make a big mistake, please advise. I have a Palm T3 OS5. My husband uses a Palm m515 OS4. We are going on vacation and he's bringing his laptop, to which he has been syncing the m515. Can I sync my T3 to the same PC? I know we have to have to set up a different hotsync name for my device, but can Palm desktop sync both OS versions to the same machine?

I sync my T3 to an iMac G5 using MissingSync now. Will I have to install an updated version of Palm HotSync to my husband's PC? Will I have to install the all programs I want to sync - AvantGo, Agendus Pro v10 (actually, not sure iambic will allow that - the creeps), etc.

Any advice is much appreciated. :)

Install the Desktop for the T3 and you will have no problem syncing both when they have different hotsync names. You will have to install any third party applications that have their own conduit or desktop app in order for them to sync,

I heard if you use 2 profiles, one for you another for your husband, then you can sync both your pda's just fine.

I used to sync a PalmPilot Personal (OS 2.x), a Visor Deluxe (OS 3.1H3), a Palm IIIxe (OS 3.5), and a Palm m125 (OS 4.1) on one PC with the m125's Palm Desktop. When I got my Tungsten E and installed its Desktop version, the TE and the older devices would still sync fine, though I stopped syncing the m125 at that point. All had different HotSync IDs.

Thanks all. The sync works using the pc, Palm desktop, and of course our different sync names.
