ZL - new launcher gadgets

Just noticed something else new in ZL v3.0. If you use the default skin (not sure if it works with other skins or not) and tap on the battery and memory icons, there are now versions that have a graphic with the text overlaid. This is something I really missed from LX, so I'm glad to see it added!!

Although I find that, depending on what icons your skin has for battery/memory, the text can be hard to read (even if you play with the colors). For example, I use the Zoopie skin and can't read the text over the memory icon.

Yeah, skins will definitely need to be designed with this in mind. You need similar colors for the full and used portions. For example, with the default skin, for memory, full is white and used is yellow, so a dark font looks great on it. But for battery, full is silver and used is a dark orange, so a light font won't show up on the full portion and a dark font shows up poorly on the used portion. I still love this; the graphics are pretty, but the text really pinpoints how much space and battery you have.

Yeah, I found this yesterday. I am using the XP skin right now and it looks the gauges with the text overlain looks great. Very nice addition.

My only issues is that there isn't one for the memory card gauge. But I don't want to be too picky.

I know, I wish they had a MS icon or something. I've asked them about that before, so maybe we'll get it someday.
