hi all.

my datebk5+ and the tx auto-lock function causes my tx to crash all the time.

until the patch is out either from pimlico or palm, i'm considering to get agendus pro or any other pim which do not have any problem with the tx (problem only occurs when the auto-lock funct of the tx is activated).

can you guys help me with some recommendation or a comparison of advantage/disadvantage of datebk5+ and agendus or other pim - especially to those who have both or have converted from one to another.

tq.

Multiple threads exist on the merits of datebk vs. agendus on these message boards. The TX is a new unit and both developers likely need to make some coding modifications to minimize problems. Try both and decide which has the options you like. I am an Agendus user. It is eay to use and syncs flawlessly woth he PC. If you force me to say a bad thing about iambic, it would be their ability to not fix bugs...rather they fix the bugs in new releases. This, of course, costs the user money in upgrade fees.

i use datebk5 inconjuction with TealLock - a security app - highly recommended. Check it out on trial. I also use TealBackup - v good also. I dont work for Teal - just a user.

I have no probs with Datebk using Teallocks auto locking feature.

Also, i prefer datebk over agendus. I cant really go into why... its just better for me. I wont be upgrading to Agendus 10, datebk is perfectly fine for me.

Freza. Thanks to your post I found out why my TX was draining power even when it's off and requires a soft reset to turn on.

Switching from Datebk5 isn't really an option for since it's probably the msot import Palm app I use. What I find is that the autolock is not a problem if you exit from Datebk5 before powering off or if you set autolock to happen at power off instead on a time interval.
