There are 2 updates on the sony site today, one is cliefiles 1.1, the other one is an updated wlan drvier...

the BAD news is that whichever one you download, you get the cliefiles 1.1... I've checked the 70 and 60 downloads, same stuff...

sony has been notified, would guess fixed in a day or 2... pretty dumb..

the wlan driver is supposed to give mac addresses of what it finds, and better compatibility with some access points...

no signal strength meter yet (wahh)

I installed that file and i can check my MAC address on my unit.

so can i, and i have not installed the file...

you might re-read my post... mac addresses of other devices it finds, like the mac address of the access point...

notice that the web site says the wlan driver is 32k, and the cliefiles file is 234k.... download the file again... notice? no matter which you download, even though the file names are different, they are the same file! 234k.... check your cliefiles version, you now have version 1.1

my post is correct

Hang on ... I have all these new features and I haven't even installed any of these new drivers! Could it be that the Wireless Connection software (mobile manager) that was mentioned a couple of weeks ago ALSO installs the new WLAN driver?

I have to ask ... excuse me if I sound like a numpty (again!).

Cheers,

Nick

so you got the file before they took it back... yes, the instructions say version 1.2, the download link says 1.1.3, and it's not there NOW... so my first post is correct... IT IS NOT THERE NOW...

maybe you could respond to the other people who asked you to copy the file and post it... or are you happy you are one of the few that got the file before it was withdrawn?

has anyone noticed if anything is different than before? (besides the mac address showing up) my guess is that powersave will now work for more people, and on more ap's

Neither my brother or myself still cannot connect when PowerSaveOn is checked, even with the new driver. So in that regard it works... :D!
