I'm not going anywhere near that list with any size pole! I know that there is a very loyal following of TH and other Clie users here. I'll let you guys fight out what the other 4 devices will be. Actually, maybe that can be our topic for this week's 1SRC chat...

Sound quality sounds a lot better, or is it my new earbuds?

Alan,
Thanks for another great podcast! I think you meant the 1st color Palm OS with 320x320 was the the N710c. The 1st color Palm OS was the Palm IIIc. I remember drooling over that Clie when it 1st came out. That awesome screen, jog wheel, memory card slot and 8 megs of memory. I eventually was able to scrape up the money for the N610c (without the audio). That was a big jump from my Palm IIIe. It had Wordsmith installed, so the 2 megs was all but used up. I paid $320 for that Palm in 1999 because I got so sick of my paper planner; they didn't like me either!
Keep up the great work!

Yes, please. I believe that I encoded at 64kb rather than 52-ish kb from last week. I'm sure the earbuds helped also.

I do remember the IIIc. Actually, I have two of them. I took them in after they were disowned. Anyway, I'm not too up on my Clie time line, so when I was talking about it in the podcast, yes, I did trip up. The N710c was the first hi-res 320x320 Palm OS device. The first color Palm OS device was the IIIc.

1SRC isn't the kind of place that really has to worry about posters "being first." The members who partcipate on this discussion board are all reasonable people. What is important is the open discussion of the topic: our favorite handheld platform - Palm OS.

Jimmie-
I keep in touch with all of the Palm podcasters. Jim over at PalmOSC.com told me that he was going to start a video cast. As much as I like the idea, there are two things keeping me from doing it. The first is the lack of a sexy co-host. But, secondly, and more importantly, the free time to produce the show. Unfortunately, I'm already stretched thinly with the three podcasts and moderating here at 1SRC and Brighthand. We'll see what 2006 has in store, but for right now I don't see a video podcast in the immediate future.
