T3 resets when placed in cradle

My trusty Tunsten T3 has today started resetting when placed in its USB cradle.

I'm using a Windows 2000 machine.

Disabling the system extensions (McPhling, ClockPop etc) has made no difference.

What could be causing this?

This will sound really dumb because it is. Same problem with my T3 drove me crazy until I realized that the cradle was too close to the screen of my iMac G5 on my smallish desk and that I was accidentally tilting the T3 to get it into the cradle. The tilting caused one side of the teeth to connect before the other and thus caused the pda to do a hard reset. Because I didn't tilt the darn thing every time, I thought there was a problem with the cradle or with the pda. Doh!
