Ok so I got my new Belkin Sharkfin Bluetooth Adapter and i've been messing around with the settings all day.

All of a sudden my Clie needs to reset so I reset it and then it hangs on the PALM logo

all subsequent resets hang on the palm logo also.

When I do a warm reset, under preferences, when I click on Bluetooth, it gives me "Bluetooth Failure. Missing Bluetooth components. Please re-install software"

Okay I dont know how to reinstall software

After warm resetting, I cannot run any applications as I get a FATAL Alert every time. "MemoryMgr.c, Line: 3649, Nil Ptr"

I've even resorted to Hard Resetting but I still get the same problems afterwards. What is corrupted? After hard resetting, and restoring all defaults, the CLIE asks to reset and when I reset, there it goes, it hangs on the PALM logo again.

The crash happened with Netfront I believe, and now in my palm desktop application, I have two copies of Netfront. I can't seem to run Powerrun or the standard delete option as I get the fatal alert: "MemoryMgr.c,Line:3571, Non-word-alighned handle" when I try to scroll down

Please help me I have no idea what to do? This is the first time I have been in a situation like this...

This might sound like a strange thing to try but I seem to remember that back when the Palm III came out I had a similar kind of problem where no matter how many times I did a hard reset the III would get a "memory reset error" and I needed to Hard Reset again. I called Palm and they told me to try doing a hard reset while its in its cradle. Now I am not sure if this is exactly the whole procedure but hopefully someone will remember this problem and fill in the gaps. I know that was a few OS's ago but you might as well give it a shot or break down and call support.

I'm trying that right now plessdude.

Actually what I'm looking for is some way I can get all of my old data back

My computer itself is kinda wacky and I could not figure out how to go to my backup folder to install programs one by one. I feel so helpless right now, all I want to do is get my palm back to normal. =(

I figured it out!!! It was AIM

Remember the golden rule, NEVER disconnect from the internet without first logging off AIM.

The only thing I have to do now is reorganize Powerrun's applications... don't know why after a reset, the powerrun shortcuts no longer appear...

Wow this gave me a huge scare. I hate AIM!

Wow! By the way, how can you go into PowerRun again when your Clie hanged on the Palm logo?

After the hard-reset I guess. Anyway, just keep a second copy of Powerrun in your Launcher folder. It's also a good idea to move the actual shortcuts to the launcher dir as well. It takes up 1/10 of a second longer to load a program, but after a hard-reset EVERYTHING is still in place. Also, a nice little hint for PowerRun users: If you update a program, you usally don't have to delete it from MS/move to internal, then update via hotsync, then move back to MS. Just hotsync and now you will find the program 2x on your Clié: 1xthe shortcut to the old version and 1x the new version. Just start the shortcut to the old version and Powerrun will automatically update your old MS version!

@ YoYo

Nice. AIM has always been too flaky for me to use on a consistent basis. I bet the first thing you did when you got it running was to backup everything to the MS :)

...doing the Backup right now Pless... thanks for reminding me!

Guess what I installed AIM again and about 2 hours later my palm experienced the reset hangup in the Palm Logo again... when will I ever learn?
