Nextel i85 and Clie, can I get online?

First newbie question but I can't find much info. I have Nextel and an i85 phone. I would like to use my NX70v to access AOL. I know I need a cable from thesupply.net but how do I set all this up? Is there a decent Palm version of AOL that works with the NX70 and cell phone dial up? If there is a FAQ about this please point me there. DO I need to set up a special account with nextel or do I call a regular dial up AOL number and just get charged for minutes. THANKS!!!

Actually I have an nextel i85 with a NX60 and would also be curious if anyone has any ideas on internet access with this setup.

Not sure how it works or anything but I know that AOL for PALM exists. If you read the FAQ though it does not run on OS5 just yet. So your NX70 would not work with it.

Hrrrrrmmm.... Nextel does not sell the data cable that I can find and thesupplynet.com is not working at the moment... Nextel does have several plans available for incorporating dial-up or direct connectivity thru the phone. Just dont want to invest in all this stuff if it doesnt work well....

I to have a nx70 and a i85, just found the cable for 40 at supply net, it says it is the correct cable but, no picture.
I have had my palm IIIC hooked up to the i85 and it work flawless. maybe i'll take the plunge and get the cable.

What about using blue tooth with all of it? I have an i80s and was wondering about getting the new blue tooth headset and trying to get it to work with the blue tooth memory stick.....hummmmmmm

I got my NX and i85 running flawlessly now with AOL. Every morning (befor 7am so it is FREE minutes) I have auto AOL set up to DL all my emails. I answer them at my liesure then batch send. Also can do the same thing thru the wifi card now...

ash, how are you getting AOL to auto dial?
Is this a feature of AOL or are you using some other util?

I assume you keep the NX connect to the nextel via cable?

Yes, keeping them connected. AOL has an AutoAOL feature that works great...
