Wireless Keyboard problem with TE

I bought the Palm Universal wireless keyboard 4 days ago. The keyboard works intermittently. The first time I noticed the problem, I did a hard reset, reinstal everything and the keyboard was ok. If I turn off the handheld, close the keyboard and reopen everything a few minutes later, then it does not work anymore. The keyboard batteries are new, the keyboard status is On, the IR is activated, the auto-shutoff is set to the maximum (3 minutes). If I delete the keyboard.prc application and reinstall this program with Hotsync, the keyboard will work for hours ... I did this for the last 3 days with always the same resultd.I have checked the Palm KB for answers, ask the Palm support, but so far, nothing... Has anyone ever experienced this problem ?

I have found the solution. When I open the keyboard, I have to slide the cover to the right. For an unknown reason, if I have just transfered the prc file from the PC, the keyboard works fine. Otherwise, I have to slide the cover 2 or 3 times to the right and, suddenly, characters appear on the screen. I still don't know why it works the first time without doing this, but at least, it works...
