Besides getting a sony camera, are there any other camera brands that I could share Memory Sticks with and be able to view the images on a clie NX60?

Nope. But soon you'll be able to share CF media. The best digital cameras on the market use CF.

how certain is it that cf memory will work on an nx60?
My office has purchased 4 of the nx60's and we are looking at buying a couple digital cameras. If it's a hassle to get cf's to work with the nx we will just get a sony.

Seems to be coming along pretty good.

I like the idea of 1Gig of storage for $150 vs. $640 for SONY's proprietary format.

In all reality, canon's are not that good of camera. The mounting plates between the lenses and the camera body are plastic. The basic rule in searching for a good camera is that they should be steel.

This is not true. My friend's prosumer Canons use steel.

Hey, check out all the discontinued SONYs on that link you posted. I stopped counting after 40. :D
SONY makes an awesome digital camcorder, but their digital cameras are lacklusters.

The link was to show every new digital that is due out this year, not the discontinued ones. Anything but lackluster IMHO!!
OH, and there are only 42, must be hard to count 2 more.

Hilarious!!! That is seriously funny. I really meant the whole jackass thing as a joke -k-;)

I was also joking. Most of my friends call me jackass here and there.:)
I thought it would be funny to say only 40 since I also counted them. I was just amazed by how many cameras SONY had discontinued when compared to other brands.
Besides being camerazilla, this is the only SONY that I really like.

But I would personally never go with SONY since their storage is too expensive. For the price of the camera mentioned above and a 1Gig MSPro, I could get a nicer Canon or Nikon with 1Gig of CF storage.

Camerazilla is right, if they could fit all that-that camera offers into the size of my discontinued P-9 I would definetley look into it. Sony memory stick is a joke, but I figured I can use it for my camera AND clie so why not. Though I could get a heck of a lot more cf for the price, I guess I just like the Sony name (call me shallow);)
