I just switched back to the UX50 that I replaced with a LifeDrive the week it shipped. It fits better in my pocket without a case. I like having the camera. I love having the keyboard. With a big Memory Stick I get enough room for my photos and MP3s. To be honest I'm a bit bummed that I like the UX so much better than the LD. The screen is just awesome on the LD and I never, ever had any lockup or reset problems with it. Missing Sync syncs both the LD and the UX to my G5 perfectly. So what am I complaining about? Just another voice wishing that Sony or somebody would have continued the clamshell all-in-one evolution; bigger screen, bigger memory capacity, phone (hey I can wish...). The LD is just not that great ergonomically (no problems with performance), and I was hoping it would be a worthy successor to the UX.

I'm on road for work this week and decided to take my Axim instead of my UX50. Boy do I wish I would have brought my UX. I am finding it very difficult to make notes and tasks while walking the production floor. I am moving back to the UX also. I didn't really leave, I was just trying to use the Axim as my work device.

With Wi-Fi, my LifeDrive seems to take an inordinate amount of time to connect to an access point, whereas the UX is like - BAM! connected as soon as I touch the NetFront icon. If the LD screen wasn't so magnificent... durn ;)

And if the UX had better battery life ;)
