Never owned wireless headphones before. Purchased a Polaroid 7" Personal DVD I use on treadmill. Wondering if anyone can tell me
1. Can I use wireless on both LifeDrive and Personal DVD?
2. If I can, what headphones do you recommend.
I don't really understand how wireless "connects" to a device. Sorry if this seems a really stupid question, but tired of attachment to device--wires drooping. Don't want really expensive--not a trained ear.
Help. Thanks

Usually you have to connect via a cable a trasmitter to the device you want to make wireless.

Hi,
I have been wanting a pair of those myself for some time. After extensive research, these are the two I consider: BT420EX (http://www.bluetake.com/products/BT420EX.htm) and Logitech's wireless headphones (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/CH/DE,CRID=2412,CONTENTID=10679).
After thinking quite a lot, I will probably go for the Bluetake one. The charging options are better (you get a USB cable additionally to the AC/DC charger), you can fold them, and you can use them with your mobile phone. They're a bit more expensive than the Logitech ones, but I think it's worth the difference.
Bluetake's ones have also been reviewed by The Gadgeteer here (http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/review/bluetake_i_phono_bt420ex_bluetooth_headphones_review)

Still not sure I understand. Doesn't headphone come with what you need to connect?
This MUST be an unusual question. Not one person at Circuit City could answer if I can use wireless with LifeDrive, and the guys at Best Buy explained all about how I could use them on my phone--apparently thinking I asked for a head set. I've stumped the panel (which doesn't take much at those stores). I wonder if I should just buy some and see--back they go if they don't work.
Anyone else every try to use wireless headphones? Why couldn't they work like wireless keyboard using IR?

In order to use wireless (I supose you mean Bluetooth by wireless) headphones, the LD would have to support the headset Bluetooth profile, and the version of Bluetooth would have to be 1.2 to have stereo. But none of the above is the case, so if you want wireless headphones, you need to plug a transmiter into the LD first in order to be able to pick up the signal with the headphones, regardless whether it's bluetooth or some other radio waves.

What a great answer! I assume the transmitter is something I must buy if/when I buy the headphones? Does it have a particular name?

The transmitter dongle comes with the headphones
[if it doesn't have a transmitter, you are buying the wrong thing]
BT420EX highly recommended (stereo headphones and transmitter dongle in one package)
