At work we are still using Windows NT. I am currently using a T3 and Hotsyncing with a serial cable. Does anyone know if there is a serial cable for the TX? Also, has anyone tried Hotsyncing a TX with Palm Desktop 4.1.2?

I use an Apple IIe at work. Can I connect my TX to it and sync? (I'm just teasing you, man...)

I doubt Palm will make a serial cable for the new connector (T5, LD, Treo 650, TX) because the market for it wouldn't warrant the manufacture. I can't believe someone's still using NT workstation. NT server I guess I can understand, because servers are too risky to upgrade, so you put it off...

I also don't think Desktop 4.1 would work. Unless I'm wrong, that version uses Address Book instead of Contacts, right? What I *do* know is that I exported from Desktop 4.2 as a .aba *contacts* archive and tried to import into 4.1 as a .aba *address book* archive, and it wouldn't accept the file. So I don't think it would work.

There are generic USB to serial converters available, but I have no idea if one of those would work for you.

Does anyone know if there is a serial cable for the TX? PN Technologies (http://www.pcables.com/) has one. Reference is PDCT5-H9.

I suspect there may be some incompatibilities with Desktop 4.1.2 and the TX, but you can certainly give it a try and report back.

Indeed, I would say give it a try. We have sold a ton of these PDCT5-H9 cables, which is a Multi-Connector cable which connects to the serial port of a PC - especially for Citrix or Win NT. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if the Palm TX would work in this application too.
