Does anybody knows a program that can stop the alarm e.g. at weekends or predefined time intervals?
Thanks for your help.

if you use WA Clock, supplied with the Clie (on CD ROM), you can set five different alarm, each one has it's own options on time, frequency, duration, alarm sound etc. It's all in the manual (also on CD ROM). This one program should solve all your alarm needs, including hourly reminders within a pre-set time period.

Sorry, I am wrong about the hourly reminder within a set time period. The WA alarm only allows up to half hour intervals, and 10 times max, so if you set an 8am alarm to go off every half hours with 10 reminders, it will only take you up to 1pm. If you really do need a program that has the function to go off at set intervals throughout the day, Pester is a good program...the best thing is that it's free. The only downside is Pester does not allow you to choose the days of the week that the alarm goes off on.
You can get Pester at

i think i may have interpreted your question differently than kukie, so i have another suggestion.
the world alarm clock app that came with the nx allows you to set the alarm for specific days. so if you have a daily alarm to, say, wake you up for work every day at 6:00 am, you can set it to go off on monday-friday and skip saturday and sunday. is that what you were asking? if your other question was to the ability to stop any set alarms from going off, say, at night while you were sleeping, i don't believe there's anything in world alarm clock to block off certain hours of a day.
i'm not familiar with any other app that can do everything you've asked (if i did indeed interpret your question correctly). i only use the wa clock since it meets all my needs.
oh, i just re-read your questions again and perhaps you're talking about the alarms in your date book? if so, i don't know anything that will prevent set alarms triggered by the datebook from going off on specific days or hours...

thanks for your replies,
Cliegirl understood right what I am looking for.
I am looking for a program that can disable an alarm preset by other programs for user defined time interval.
e.g. If datebk sets an alarm for 7:00am for a periodic repeated event, but I do not wonna be disturbed by any alarm sound e.g. during vacation between 7:00 and 08:00.
I remember "Silence Hack" was able to do it, but it seems "silence" does not exists anymore.
